Why Child Welfare?

I have personally sat and had conversations with children during their first hours in state custody. Many of those little voices will never leave my heart. ❤️ 

Every child entering state custody experiences emotions that they often never forget. Every interaction during those moments matters. 

Accountable Futures begins in child welfare because there is a significant gap and clear opportunity to help adults intentionally model the mental and emotional life skills that children carry with them long after the moment has passed. While our work begins here, our vision extends to families, schools, organizations, and communities.
