Vision

Vision

The vision for the Accountable Futures system is that it will contribute to a significant change in the life trajectory of children who enter into CYFD custody, even if only for a day, by providing immediate access to qualified mental health professionals, teaching social emotional learning (SEL) skills, and identifying Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) early in order to begin addressing them sooner.

This system will contribute to reducing the stigma that comes with taking accountability over one’s own mental and behavioral health needs and will help to reframe the idea of personal mental health care as a life skill.

This system will be duplicatable so that it may be implemented across county, and eventually state, borders and can provide centers with a model that will be consistent and predictable.
